How can I get responsive?

I designed an xd files, try to set the artboard to 100%width and 100% height, when I export looks like it is not working?? the whole page is not responsive, looks like still fixed width/height, can not even scrolling , any ideas or setting to do the full artboard responsive?? My design use two differnet top and body background color, I want the background color and the elelement inside fully responsive

It sounds like one of the artboard descendants has a fixed width or height.

I would use the Outline feature on the artboard to see the sizes of all the elements. For testing purposes, remove all the descendants and check the artboard is responsive. Then add them back one by one OR check the sizes in the CSS or browser.
